"...transfer calls..."

5/20/13

This week was really good, mostly because we had two baptisms on Saturday.
Leigh Anne was baptized in the morning by her husband, it was really good, there was a good amount of non members there, her parents where there and some other relatives also
Elliott was also good, his father who is a non member was there and he gave the closing prayer. they where both confirmed on the same day.
we where also able to get in contact with some of our potentials, and we should be meeting with some of them this week, so hope fully we can.
so we got transfer calls on Saturday, me and Elder Wardle are both staying here, so ill be killing him off, and this transfer is going to be only 4 weeks and the one after that will be 8 weeks instead of 6 weeks, they did that so when the new mission president comes, he wont have to do a transfer meeting 2 days after he gets here, so i really hope i get a good companion for the 8 weeks, and ill be most likely be staying here for a while, which im not to fond about.
We where at a members house the other day and we got on the subject of guns, cause he just got a Springfield 1911.

"...we just tracked every day..."

5/13/2013
This week was probably one of the hardest weeks, the only positive things that happened is that we have two baptismal dates for this coming Saturday. one is for a investigator who was dating a member and they got married a couple of weeks back, her name is Leighann and she is way solid, she would have been baptized before this, but she wanted the member to baptize her, but we had to wait on some things, but the good thing is that she is getting baptize and she is way excited. and the other baptism is a 9 year old boy who is from a part member family.  but besides that we just tracked every day all day and we didn't find any new investigators or potentials, so that with every thing else that is going on has really gotten me down.

"...set a baptism date..."

5/6/2013

we set a baptism date with Leigh Ann( i think it should be fine if i just use there first name) she has been investigating the church ever sense she started dating a member and they got married before conference, but she is a way golden investigator, she cant wait to be baptized. and that will be on the 18th.
so that was the highlight of our week, oh and for a couple of years now the church here has been letting the local Muslims meet in our gym for the Friday prayers and yesterday they had a Islam 101 thing where a mufti( one of there leaders in the area) came and talked about the basics of the Islamic religion, to help build bridges with the community, every one was invited members and non members, but it was mostly members who showed up to it( probably cause most people think if they step inside a Mormon church they are condemned JK )
but it was good it cleared up allot of things that i didn't know,  i recognized certain truths, like they believe that we are all born without sin, that we are all pure when we are born, so i though that was pretty interesting, ill write more about that in my hand written letter.
yep so those are the things that really happened this week.
